01 What We Collect
To validate and enforce your license, Spirit Engine sends the following to our license servers when you sign in or the app checks in periodically:
- Your license key, to identify your license.
- A hashed hardware identifier (HWID) for your PC, to enforce the one-device-per-license limit.
- Basic license metadata we generate ourselves: plan, simultaneous-client limit, role, status, expiry date, remaining entitlement value, creation date, and last-seen timestamp.
- License-transfer records when you apply another key: an operation identifier, calculated value and time, the resulting plan, timestamps, and a masked or hashed reference to the consumed source key. Transfer history shown in the app never includes the full source key.
- Standard request metadata (timestamp, IP address) as part of normal server request handling.
02 What We Don't Collect
Spirit Engine never touches your Steam or SpiritVale account credentials — it doesn't log in on your behalf and never sees your password. Everything it does while you play stays on your own PC; it never leaves your machine, and we never receive your gameplay data, chat logs, inventory contents, or other local game-state details.
03 How We Use It
Solely to: validate your license, device binding, and simultaneous-client limit; calculate and apply a transfer you explicitly confirm; prevent a source key from being consumed twice; keep your session active; check for and deliver app updates; and provide support if you contact us.
04 Third Parties
License and session data is stored using Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. The Software does not bundle third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
This website — separately from the app — uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, stores no identifier on your device, and does not follow you across other sites, so there is nothing here to consent to or opt out of. Checkout is handled by Payhip, which receives whatever you enter on its own payment form; we never see your card details.
05 Data Retention
We keep license records for as long as your license is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for support and fraud-prevention purposes.
06 Your Rights
You can request a copy of, or deletion of, your license record once your license has expired or been cancelled by contacting us in our Discord server, using the invite included with your purchase or the Link Discord button in the app's Info tab. We may need to verify you're the license owner first.
07 Security
All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Day-to-day requests use a short-lived session token rather than your raw license key.
08 Children
Spirit Engine is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
09 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

Questions about this policy go to our Discord server — the invite is included with your purchase, and the app's Info tab has a Link Discord button that opens the same server. We don't run a support inbox; Discord is the one place to reach us.
